Five years ago this month, I summoned the strength to walk away from my Big Breakup for good. This was after an entire year of breakups, makeups, booty calls, and ongoing cracks in my broken heart. Ouch!
So what made me walk away for good – FINALLY?
I’m often asked this question. And for awhile, I didn’t have an answer. I didn’t know why ONE DAY I somehow found the courage I’d never had before.
But then it hit me. Why I FINALLY decided to go cold turkey…
Whereas once upon a time, when the fear of letting go of Mr. Ex was too excruciating to imagine, it was becoming abundantly clear that staying stuck, broken hearted, and miserable was actually MORE PAINFUL than walking away and moving on.
That’s why I went cold turkey. Because the idea of moving on became not only more appealing than staying stuck, but like the ONLY POSSIBLE OPTION.
Don’t get me wrong. It wasn’t EASY.
After walking away, my life didn’t miraculously change. But over time, things did get easier. Once I made the commitment to myself, to my hopeful future, and to my DESIRE for a better life, my journey began to feel effortless.
Five years later, my life is completely different. I’m happily married, I love writing my books, and have a thriving coaching practice. Today, I work with some of the most intelligent, successful, phenomenal women who are reinventing their lives in remarkable ways!
What a difference five years makes!

In the last few years, I’ve had the honor of working with and talking to hundreds, maybe even thousands, of women who are experiencing a Big Breakup, or one of the little breakups along the way.
Some women heal their hearts quickly, and move on to their blissful new lives with ease, style, and gratitude… (I hope this is you!)
And some women stay stuck for years, hung up on What could have been, how their ex did them wrong, or how the love of their life slipped away, and they’re now doomed to end up alone and miserable…
In talking to and working with these women, it has become abundantly clear to me what keeps a woman stuck in feelings of hopelessness, despair, and sadness following a breakup vs. those who move on with ease and effortlessness.

Staying stuck is a choice.
