Ever wish you could push the RESET button on your life?

Submitted by on January 17, 2011 - 8:47 am

Be honest. Ever wish you could push the RESET button on your life?

Do you feel stuck, bogged down, burdened, or just plain disappointed in what’s happening for you so far in 2011?

Does the space between where you are right now and where you want to be feel ENORMOUS and insurmountable?

I get it.

I’ve been there.

Seven years ago, I desperately wanted to push the RESET button on MY life.

My once dream job had turned into a nightmare, due to a new, demanding, and soul-crushing boss.

My love life was in shambles, and I found myself once again picking up the pieces of my broken heart, devastated that I just couldn’t make it work with my ex.

After buying my condo, I realized I had moved into married-with-children suburbia and felt isolated, alone, and like a total failure at life and love.

My body began betraying me, bringing on physical pain to match my emotional anguish.

Honestly, very little about my life was working. And I kept thinking, “If only there was a RESET button I could push to start over!”

Unfortunately, there wasn’t. And I stayed stuck for many months.

I kept taking my boss’ crap.

I kept sleeping with my ex.

I kept feeling isolated and alone in my condo.

And I never did find my RESET button.

Fortunately, you don’t have to suffer this same fate.

You don’t have to agonize over any area of your life alone.

If you made a resolution on new year’s eve to change any of these areas of your life:

- Financial/Career

- Love/Relationships

- Body image/Personal style

You’re in luck. Help is here.

But first, let’s be clear. You don’t need to make any more resolutions.

You need to start your very own REVOLUTION!

The truth is, change sucks. Nobody likes it. And nobody makes change until it becomes more painful to stay where they are.

Let me repeat that. Nobody makes change until the idea of staying stuck becomes more painful than the idea of letting go and moving on.

But here’s the thing. Only YOU can decide when enough will be enough.

Do you want to spend another 6 months feeling stuck in some area of your life like:

- Feeling lost and alone when it comes to your love life

- Feeling unhealthy and unhappy in your body

- Feeling frustrated that you’re not getting further ahead in your career or life

Or do you want to have your Revolutionary Reset this month, get the tools you need to make a different choice, and change what’s happening in your life in record time?

Only you know for sure how much longer you want to feel stuck or in pain.

But I hope you choose to press YOUR reset button SOON and start loving your life again.

If you’re ready for 2011 to be the year you plow through old barriers, blocks, and beliefs so you can welcome a healthier, happier, more hopeful life, then be sure to join me at the Revolutionary Reset event at the Fairmont Miramar hotel overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Santa Monica, CA on Saturday, January 29.

Come spend the day learning from and working with 3 powerful lifestyle coaches who want to show you the way to living and loving your life, starting right now!

I’ll be joined by my personal style guru and body image coach Sybil Henry and my dear friend and personal development guru Lakeshia Ekeigwe. Together, we want to show you exactly how to STOP living in overwhelm and uncertainty and START living a life that’s authentic, inspired, and exciting!

If you’re ready for YOUR Revolutionary Reset, get your ticket NOW!

Don’t waste another minute feeling confused, disappointed, lost, or alone. We’re here to help. And we want you to join us!

Pics & Reflections from Woohoo Women of the Year

Submitted by on December 8, 2010 - 1:33 pm

Last week, I had the honor of throwing the first annual Woohoo Women of the Year event in Hollywood. It was a fab and fun evening dedicated to celebrating each and every woman in attendance while also giving back to women who may be less fortunate.

From the moment each Woohoo Woman entered the event, they were welcomed and celebrated by photographer Moriah Diamond who captured each woman strutting her stuff on the raspberry carpet.

From there, each Woohoo Woman was treated to cocktails, delicious food, and amazing music, all tailored to celebrating the women there. As a personal touch, I requested that Woohoo Men serve the food and pour the drinks so each and every woman there could experience the feeling of being cared for and pampered by a man.

When it came time to make a speech, I invited Woohoo man Tiamo De Vettori to perform his incredible song “The God in You” for the Woohoo Women. They LOVED it!

AND, I shared some fabulous fun facts about each woman in the room that let us all know these beautiful ladies as more than just what’s on their business cards. We got to know the true Woohoo Within each woman. That was soo fun!

As the hostess, I enjoyed meeting and mingling with each and every Woohoo Woman who attended. And when each woman left, she took home a fantastic gift bag filled with some of my favorite things including Klean Spa sugar scrubs, personalized Woohoo! M&Ms, Om Aroma caviar eye cream, and so much more.

To check out my fave photos from Woohoo Women of the Year, go here:
http://on.fb.me/euOLqX

As I mentioned in a previous email, 50% of the ticket price went into the Woohoo Women global lending fund on kiva.org.

I’m thrilled to report that we just dispersed $1850 in loans to Woohoo Women around the world, including women in business in Costa Rica, Congo, Cameroon, Guatemala, the Phillipines, Pakistan, Armenia, Peru, Ecuador, Azerbaijan, and the Dominican Republic.

Honestly, this is one of my proudest accomplishments this year. In a year of economic uncertainty, I’m proud that my business is thriving, thanks in part to you, my clients, friends, fans, and colleagues.

In a year when so many people lost their jobs, their homes, their loved ones, I have been blessed with many Woohoo!s. I created Woohoo Women of the Year to pay this good fortune forward, and in hopes of inspiring the women around me to celebrate all of their blessings AND discover the joy of being generous.

If you find yourself struggling today, I hope this email inspires you to give thanks for the great and small Woohoo!s in YOUR life. Maybe you didn’t accomplish the big ticket items on your Wish List this year. But I’m guessing you made a difference in the lives of others. And I’m guessing you took risks, made strides, and became a better woman because of 2010.

In that spirit, I invite you to join the Woohoo Women Lending Fund on kiva.org and see how the funds we raised are going to good use in the coming years:
http://www.kiva.org/team/woohoo_women

It’s exciting to think that by throwing a fabulous party, we now have the opportunity to help women in business around the world for YEARS to come without spending another dime. Of course, I’ll continue investing in kiva and I hope you will, too.

Stay tuned! I’ve got some exciting announcements coming later this month.

Woohoo Women of the Year Event Celebrates Women in Business with a Focus on Paying it Forward

Submitted by on November 21, 2010 - 7:46 pm

On Tuesday, November 30, 2010, 50 women business owners from around the country will gather at the first annual Woohoo Women of the Year event in Hollywood.

Hosted by best selling author, media personality, and CEO of Woohoo, Inc. Lisa Steadman, the event not only celebrates the leadership and passion of the 50 Woohoo Women in attendance. It also celebrates the hard work of women around the world. 50% of each ticket sold will be deposited into the Woohoo Women Lending Fund on Kiva.org, which helps fund women-owned businesses across the globe.

“By coming to the event and celebrating your own success, you actually uplift and uplevel the 49 other women in attendance AND help women around the world for years to come,” Lisa says, which was one of the reasons she created the Woohoo Women of the Year event. “I know so many incredible women who are in business for themselves. And they do amazing work on a daily basis to make a difference in the world. Often these same women don’t take the time to acknowledge their efforts, and instead are far too focused on what’s left on their To Do list. If we don’t celebrate the success we’ve already had, how can we make room for more?”

So what exactly is a Woohoo Woman? According to Lisa, all Woohoo Women possess 3 important qualities.

“First, a Woohoo Woman is living a life of her own design, or paving the way to live life according to her own rules. Even if she’s in the aspirational phase of her journey, she’s creating a vision for herself and getting ready to take her big leap. Second, a Woohoo Woman appreciates being part of a community of like minded women who support and celebrate one another, and mentor each other to success. Finally, a Woohoo Woman is interested in and available to uplift and uplevel herself and others.”

The event will take place at Gary Arabia’s Restaurant on The Lot in Hollywood from 6:30-10pm. Guests will enjoy strutting their stuff down the red carpet while being photographed by celebrated photographer Moriah Diamond, drink signature Woohoo!-tinis, and sample an incredible selection of Gary Arabia’s culinary creations, all while mingling with 50 of the most conscious women in business.

Event sponsors include Woohoo, Inc. Klean Spa, Om Aroma, Dhana, Inc., and Marketing Makes Me Smile.

If you’d like to join the circle of Woohoo Women who are stepping forward and celebrating their brilliance in a bold way while helping other Woohoo Women around the world, Lisa invites you to join her at Woohoo Women of the Year. To purchase your ticket, visit http://woohoowomenoftheyear.com/.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Best-Selling Author and Relationship Expert Lisa Steadman Launches 30 Day Get Out There Challenge: 30 Dating Experts. 30 Days. 30 Ways to Meet Mr. Right.

Submitted by on June 2, 2010 - 2:54 pm

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Los Angeles, CA—June 1, 2010—“Did you know that June is the perfect month to meet Mr. Right?” According to relationship expert and best selling author Lisa Steadman, summer is the ideal time to meet like-minded singles. “With daylight being longer and people spending more time outdoors in the warm weather, men and women are more likely to socialize in large groups, making it easier to meet like-minded singles,” Steadman says, adding, “Plus, with no major romantic holidays on the horizon, men are more likely to be open and available for dating.”

To help single women get out there and make the most of this ideal dating time, Steadman launched her 30 Day Get Out There Challenge on June 1 on her website LisaSteadman.com. Every day in June, Steadman will post a video on her blog at LisaSteadman.com. In each video, she will share a practical and fun tip for meeting men in everyday life. Steadman’s tips range from how to catch a man’s eye to how to flirt to how to find the appropriate target rich environments to meet like-minded singles.

In addition, Steadman will feature an article or video from another relationship expert on her blog every day during her 30 day challenge. Some of the experts include Arielle Ford, manifestation expert and best selling author of The Soul Mate Secret; author and dating coach Evan Marc Katz; best selling author and Today Show regular Dr. Diana Kirschner; and the Dating Makeover Coach Kira Sabin.

“I know so many amazing relationship experts and I wanted to share their expertise as well as my own during my Get Out There Challenge,” Steadman says. “Hopefully women will learn something new and useful every day that will inspire them to step out of any fear and scarcity they have about meeting men in person and reconnect to how fun dating can be!”

As CEO of Woohoo, Inc., a consulting company whose focus lies on showing women of all ages how to create lives they love, Steadman loves sharing her passion and enthusiasm for life with others. Her books “If He’s Not the One, Who Is?: What Went Wrong and What It Takes to Find Mr. Right” and “It’s A Breakup, Not A Breakdown: Get over the big one and change your life – for good!” illustrate the positive side of breaking up and getting back out there after heartbreak. Additionally, Steadman leads online workshops and weekend retreats called The Woohoo Weekend that help women break free from self sabotage and limiting beliefs so they can celebrate themselves and their lives.

As someone who successfully met and married Mr. Right AND reinvented her career after her Big Breakup with both the man of her dreams and Corporate America, Steadman uses her own rock-bottom journey as inspiration for all of her work. “Six years ago, I thought my life was over. My heart was broken. I was homeless and unemployed. And I knew deep down that I was the problem. So I had to change. Now I show others how to do it without all the drama and pain I went through.”

Visit http://lisasteadman.com/category/30-day-challenge/ and you can access Steadman’s daily video tips as well as daily articles from Steadman’s fellow relationship experts during her 30 Day Get Out There Challenge.

The 30 Day Get Out There Challenge started June 1 and ends June 30.

Woohoo Weekend Recap

Submitted by on May 26, 2010 - 9:29 am

On May 15-16, 20 women gathered for 2 days in Los Angeles at my Woohoo Weekend.

On Day #1, we connected to our Woohoo Within™, tuning in to who we are, what keeps us playing small, and how to break free from self sabotage and create an action plan for implementing Woohoo! moving forward. In addition to hands on coaching and mentoring with me, special guest Sybil Henry shared how to be hip, healthy, and sexy after 40.

On Day #2, private cars took us to the beach where Chef Louie served us quiche and mimosas. We then spent a few hours connecting to and celebrating our Woohoo Women with Christina Morassi. In the afternoon, we talked about how to stay connected to our Woohoo Women in the real world. Hands on coaching and celebrating took place.

Here are just some of the beautiful photos from the weekend.

Stay tuned – the next Woohoo Weekend date will be announced SOON!

May 15-16: 2 Days. 20 Women. EXTRAORDINARY Transformation

Submitted by on May 8, 2010 - 10:38 am

What are you doing next Saturday?

If you said, “The usual,” that’s great.

But how would you like to spend next Saturday doing something un-usual? Actually, how would you like to spend next Saturday doing something extraordinary?

I’ve been traveling all week, speaking to a variety of interesting groups, and the one common demonimator is this: People don’t want to be living ordinary lives.

They want to lead EXTRAordinary lives!

I’m not talking about jetting around in private planes and dripping in diamonds. Although if that works for you, so be it.

I’m talking about breaking free from all the stories we tell ourselves about why our lives have taken the unexpected, disappointing, mediocre turns they have.

Just last night, I was speaking to a group of women. And I could tell they all wanted to lead extraordinary lives. And so I invited them to release whatever secret or shame was keeping them from truly going for what they want in life and love.

What happened next was quite magical.

Each and every woman in the room started speaking her truth. Releasing her secrets. Letting go of shame and blame.

It was POWERFUL!

And once we did that, the energy in the room shifted dramatically. And these women reported feeling lighter, more peaceful, happier.

THAT’S when the real shifting happened.

Free from their self-imprisoned walls of limiting beliefs, they started opening themselves up to new possibilities.

They started believing love was possible, even if they were 42, a size 16, or had a difficult childhood.

They started seeing that their dream life wasn’t impossible to reach. It was actually still ahead of them. They just needed to believe it was available and start taking action daily to experience it.

They started celebrating the Woohoo Woman inside. The one who deserves to be see, heard, and appreciated for all her beauty, wit, sensuality, and compassion.

This is what my Woohoo Weekend May 15-16 in Los Angeles is ALL about.

Tuning in, honoring what’s keeping you in fear, lack, uncertainty, or pain, and then setting yourself FREE.

I’ve done it for myself over and over in my life. From relationship drama to career confusion and reinvention to recreating my relationship with my spirit.

And I do this for my clients, too.

And now YOU can experience this in a real and profound way.

Two days.

20 women.

Hands on help, support, mentoring, and accountability.

The oppotunity to break free from your own self imposed prisons and step into possibility. In life, love, career. spirit.

PLUS, the chance to be seen, heard, understood, and celebrated.

There are just 5 spots left at my Woohoo Weekend. And if you know you need to be there, don’t hesitate.

Well behaved women rarely make history…

Submitted by on March 24, 2010 - 7:00 am

I’m not a bumper sticker kind of person. But the one bumper sticker I ever put on my car was this simple and profound mantra…

Well behaved women rarely make history.

Don’t you love it? It absolutely epitomizes my belief about how to live life.

To me, this simple statement means:

Taking risks yields great rewards

Playing by your own set of rules is essential to your success

Getting dirty in the school of life is NECESSARY

So let me ask you…

Have you spent your ENTIRE life playing by the rules, coloring within the lines, doing exactly as you are told?

Have you said yes when you really meant no, accepted disrespect when you really wanted respect, and sacrificed yourself for someone else’s happiness?

If so, you may be too well behaved.

And you know what else? You may be squelching your true self.

I used to do that.

Once upon a time, I followed everybody else’s rules.

I accepted less than I deserved.

And I found myself in relationship after relationship that didn’t meet my needs.

Guess what else? I was miserable!

And I stayed miserable until one day…

I woke up to the fact that I wanted and deserved more.

I tuned in to my inner voice that said This is the way to your dream life…

I gave myself permission to follow that voice as it got louder and clearer, and led the way to my dream life.

Today, I’m very blessed. Not lucky. Let’s be clear. There is no luck here. I did the work, took the risks, and now enjoy the rewards.

If you’re reading this and thinking…

That’s great for you but that will never work for me!

I can’t afford to risk that much!

True love, happiness, and blissful living are only possible for people with money, good looks, a trust fund, etc…

Stop right there. It’s just not true.

When I started this journey, I had very little.

There wasn’t a lot of money in the bank.

My family didn’t understand why I needed to leave my stable job and pursue this unknown and scary career of helping women heal their hearts after a breakup.

People looked at me, puzzled, when I told them that I had moved/rented out my beautiful condo and was sleeping on my best friend’s living room floor for the summer.

BEST. DECISION. EVER.

And I stand by that statement. See, if I had continued down the road of being well behaved, I never would have…

  • Let go of my ex
  • Walked away from a life I knew to step into my passion profession, complete with amazing clients, book deals, and abundance
  • Met, attracted, and married the love of my life

With my great risks, came great reward.

The same is true for you.

If you’re stuck in a life that no longer works…

  • Trying to make the best of a no-win relationship
  • Feeling so squelched and suffocated by playing small
  • Ignoring that voice that’s telling you This is the way to your dream life…

Then everything will stay the same. Forever.

WORST. DECISION. EVER.

Instead, isn’t it time to misbehave?

Let me rephrase that. NOW is the time to misbehave!

And it starts by investing in your magnificent future.

It starts by saying yes to what’s possible for you.

It starts by being willing to risk in order to enjoy rewards greater than you ever imagined.

I want to help you live your best life.

I want to help you get unblocked.

I want to help you heal your heart and manifest your heart’s desire.

Together, we can do anything. So come on, let’s misbehave at my Woohoo! Weekend, March 15-16.

The details are being finalized, but get on the VIP list to be first in the know when tickets go on sale.
