Healed by the Holidays: Create new morning and evening rituals

The absolute worst time of day when you’re going through a breakup? First thing when you wake up and last thing before you go to bed. These are the times that you’re most vulnerable, when we’re reminded of what’s missing, and when we tend to feel the most isolated, sad, and lonely. In order to heal your heart by the holidays you’ve got to shift your morning and evening routine. Do something different. For example, when you first wake up in the morning:

– Go for a jog
– Meditate
– Do yoga
– Fix yourself a delicious breakfast and savor every morsel

Do something to take your mind off your ex and instead focus on your fabulous feature. The same goes for your nighttime routine. Right before bed, try one of the following activities:

– Take a bubble bath
– Write in your journal
– Read a good book
– Meditate or pray

By shifting your morning and evening routine ever so slightly, you take necessary steps to heal your heart. Starting today, create a new morning and nighttime ritual for yourself.
