In order to heal and move on, you’ve gotta disconnect from your ex online…

The night I broke up he emailed me a “My, dear” letter, and most of it was about his feeling guilty and justifying his behavior and wanting to keep seeing me without a commitment. He made promises and he let me down, and I told him I wouldn’t continue on these terms. I didn’t want him to know that I was able to read this email, so I created a bogus “returned mail” not-read document and sent it as a reply. He waited 2 days and resent it. I did the same thing. I did not want him to get the absolution he was seeking by using the internet as instant communication for his selfish indulgence and justification of his unacceptable actions.
I felt that if he wanted to talk, the telephone works well,
and a face to face would have been sincere.
